Route trails

Optional local route trails.

Daylume route trails are designed for local voice-memo context. They are off by default and require When In Use location permission.

When Location Is Used

Daylume uses location only after you enable route trails in Settings and start a voice memo recording. If permission is denied or restricted, the voice memo still records and no route trail is saved.

What Route Trails Store

Each route point can include timestamp, latitude, longitude, and horizontal accuracy. Daylume derives distance, duration, point count, daily route totals, and route summary text from those local points.

What Leaves The Device

Route coordinates do not leave the device automatically in Daylume 1.0. They leave only if you choose a local export that includes route sidecar files. Route summary share cards contain aggregate stats and exclude raw coordinates and audio filenames.

Route Share Cards

A route summary share card can include date, aggregate distance, aggregate duration, route count, point count, top route summaries, and a generic route mark. It excludes raw coordinates, audio filenames, route sidecar filenames, Gemini API keys, transcripts, notes, and image contents.

Deletion And Export

Route sidecars are included in local export and local deletion behavior where route trails exist. Deleting local data removes route sidecars alongside local media and other sidecar data.
